Knowledge Of The Glory, Week 2

Theme Verse for 2025:
Hab 2:14 For the earth will be filled With the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, As the waters cover the sea.

Knowledge: Strong’s #3045 yada (yaw-dah); to know, to properly ascertain by seeing, instruction, advise, comprehend, consider, declare, be diligent, discover, to make known, skillful, understanding, be learned, teach, wit.

Know: Strong’s #3045 yada (yah-dah); to perceive, to distinguish, to recognize, to acknowledge, to be acquainted with; in a few instances to “know intimately” that is sexually; also, to recognize, esteem and endorse. When Scripture speaks of God making known His name, it refers to His revealing (through deeds or events) what His name truly means. Thus, in Ex 6:3 “I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob as El Shaddai (God Almighty), but by My name Yahweh (Lord) was not known to them.” God did not mean that the Patriarchs had never heard the name Yahweh, but rather that He did not reveal the full meaning of His name Yahweh until the time of Moses and the Exodus. Deliverance from Bondage: Moving with God’s Glory

God worked miracles through Moses so Pharaoh would let His people go, becoming a free nation. I was God’s glory along with the obedience of Moses that freed Israel and a nation was born!

Ex 13:20-22 So they took their journey from Succoth and camped in Etham at the edge of the wilderness. 21 And the Lord went before them by day in a pillar of cloud to lead the way, and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so as to go by day and night. 22 He did not take away the pillar of cloud by day or the pillar of fire by night from before the people.

Israel backed up against the Red Sea

Ex 14:19-20 And the Angel of God, who went before the camp of Israel, moved and went behind them; and the pillar of cloud (God’s glory cloud) went from before them and stood behind them. 20 So it came between the camp of the Egyptians and the camp of Israel. Thus it was a cloud and darkness to the one, and it gave light by night to the other, so that the one did not come near the other all that night.

Ex 14:26-27 Then the Lord said to Moses, "Stretch out your hand over the sea, that the waters may come back upon the Egyptians, on their chariots, and on their horsemen." 27 And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and when the morning appeared, the sea returned to its full depth, while the Egyptians were fleeing into it.

Ex 14:30-31 So the Lord saved Israel that day out of the hand of the Egyptians, and Israel saw the Egyptians dead on the seashore. 31 Thus Israel saw the great work which the Lord had done in Egypt; so the people feared the Lord, and believed the Lord and His servant Moses.

Yahweh making Himself known to Moses, the Children of Israel, Pharo, Egypt and eventually (through history) the rest of the world, was a grand display of the power of El Shaddai working with man (Moses). God in His glory, moved through Moses to deliver Israel and destroy the Egyptians.

The glory of the Lord went before Moses and Israel, but they had to move, or be left behind.

Thank: Strong’s # 3034 yadah (Yah-dah); to revere or worship with extended hands; to praise, give thanks, acknowledge, declare the merits of someone. Yadah is an important word for praise or thanks and occurs more than 100 time in the OT, more than half of these in the book of Psalms. Yadah comes from yad (hand) which developed into the verb yadah suggesting outstretched hands as a means of worship and thanks. (Word Wealth SFLB).

Hand: Strongs # 3027, yad (yahd): means by which work is accomplished, strength, power, and is one of the most symbolic terms in the Bible, used over 1,500 times in the Old Testament alone. “Given into the hands,” means coming under his authority; being rescued “out of the hands” is descriptive of deliverance or freedom. Hand is a noun and it is a derivative of the verb yadah (#3034), which is generally translated “thank” or “praise”, and more accurately “to praise by lifting hands.”

Knowledge summarized: The word knowledge in Hebrew is yada, which is tied to yadah and yad. To know, to thank and to release power from what we put our hand to. It is moving in the knowledge and glory of God!

Thus, Hab 2:14 Could read as “For the earth will be filled with people knowing and moving in the glory of the Lord, As the water cover the sea.” People will not only know His glory, they will move in that glory! Not everyone who sees this knowledge will receive it.

Hos 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; Because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children.
“Rejected knowledge” in this sense is knowing what the right thing to do is (righteousness) and refusing to do it. For born again Christians, it does not mean losing your salvation, but calamity upon you and perhaps your family for your disobedience/rebellion to God. It does not mean we have to be perfect in our obedience to God. It means we deal with the sin in our heart and in our lives.

2 Cor 10:4-6 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, 6 and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.

Glory: Strong’s #3519 Hebrew kabowd (kaw-bode') or chabod (kah-vohd); weightiness, that which is substantial, honor, splendor, power, wealth, authority, magnificence, fame, dignity, riches, excellency. Chabod is God’s glory, not only His honor, renown, and majesty, but also His visible splendor, which filled Solomon’s temple and will someday fill the earth.

1 Kings 8:10-11 And it came to pass, when the priests came out of the holy place, that the cloud filled the house of the Lord, 11 so that the priests could not continue ministering because of the cloud; for the glory of the Lord filled the house of the Lord. This happened when they brought in the Ark of the Covenant.

2 Chron 7:13-17 When I shut up heaven and there is no rain, or command the locusts to devour the land, or send pestilence among My people, 14 if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. 15 Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer made in this place. 16 For now I have chosen and sanctified this house, that My name may be there forever; and My eyes and My heart will be there perpetually.

Isa 60:5 Then you shall see and become radiant, And your heart shall swell with joy; Because the abundance of the sea shall be turned to you, The wealth of the Gentiles shall come to you.

2 Cor 3:16-18 Nevertheless when one turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. 17 Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. 18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.

Are you moving with God or are you stuck in the past? Past hurts, unforgiveness, bitterness, criticalness, rejection, unbelief, addictions, and anger? Humble yourself and pray. Extend to others the grace, mercy and forgiveness that God has given you. God is on the move, don’t be left behind!
