DC Mayor Muriel Bowser Press Conference on Inauguration Safety

"The biggest threat, for all of us, remains the lone actor," said U.S. Capitol Police Chief Thomas Manger as he spoke on inauguration security measures during a news conference hosted by Washington, DC Mayor Muriel Bowser (D). The mayor was also joined by Washington, DC Police Chief Pam Smith, Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) General Manager Randy Clarke, and federal law enforcement partners from the FBI and U.S. Secret Service. They discussed the security perimeter protocols for the inauguration and urged those who live and work in the impacted areas to "plan ahead."
