This is a very heartwarming and emotion filled episode. We speak about a woman who was dedicated to adopting children in Zambia, Dora Moono Nyambe.

Dora was a Zambian humanitarian, educator and Tik Toker known for her work with children in rural Zambia.

She was born to a South African mother and Zambian father. She was exposed to foreign missionaries at an early age. She first visited Mapapa, Mkushi, Zambia in 2019 to meet a friend's family and was shocked by the number of children not in school, the high rates of early marriage and teen pregnancies. She had five adopted children three of whom were teenagers.

She eventually adopted 13 children and fostered 150 boarding students.

She intervened in her student's arranged child marriages, sometimes reimbursing the families for the money they spend on a child's wedding. She also pursued legal action against those who abused her students.

A book about her was written by Joseph Schmitt and released in Feb of 2023, entitled "Under a Zambian Tree."

Nyambe died under less than clear circumstances on December 25, 2024. It is rumored that she was murdered given her efforts to stop child predators, child sex trafficking and child mutilations.'
