elcome back to the It's Always Something Farm! Today, we're excited to share our DIY corral-building project. This new structure will make loading, unloading, weighing, and even castrating our cattle much easier.

To build the corral, we used reclaimed materials whenever possible. The posts are repurposed telephone poles, standing 8 feet tall with 2 feet in the ground. We spaced the galvanized guardrail sides 3 inches apart for optimal functionality. The only new purchases were the gate and head chute, which we sourced smartly - the head chute was $200 cheaper on Marketplace our local farm store

Overall, this was a fun and surprisingly successful DIY endeavor. The new corral turned out better than we expected, and we're thrilled to have this helpful new setup for our cattle operations.

If you have any other questions about our corral project, just let us know. We're happy to provide more details to help fellow DIY homesteaders and farmers save some money on their own livestock handling needs.

God bless and have a wonderful day!
