Posted • January 12, 2025: Horrific: Former Child Star Rory Sykes Who Was Blind And Had Cerebral Palsy Dies In The LA Fires Because His Mom Had A Broken Arm And Couldn't Carry Him — Former child star Rory Sykes, who was blind and had cerebral palsy, passed away in the LA fires, told his mom to leave him. Sykes, 32, was unable to move because of his condition as the fire approached. His mother, who had a broken arm and couldn’t lift him, said she rushed to get help because all the phone lines were down and she was unable to call 911. When she returned, the house had burned down. “He said, ‘Mom, leave me.’ … I couldn't lift him. I couldn't move him. When the fire department brought me back, his cottage was burnt to the ground.”
