“Jesus Revolution” (here: only the final moments/maybe more) is a film by the American director Jon Erwin (“I can Only Imagine”, “American Underdog”) and deals with the Jesus movement between the late 1960s and early 1970s in Southern California. The film delves into the life of the young Greg Laurie (Joel Courtney), who is looking for the right things in the wrong places. He finds truth, peace and a healthy family in the hippie movement, which, however, satisfies its longing with drugs and wild parties.

At the same time, the film “Jesus Revolution” portrays the community life of the pastor of the Calvary Chapel community, Chuck Smith (Kelsey Grammer). The dormant community life and Chuck Smith's prejudices against hippies are turned upside down when he meets the hippie preacher Lonnie Frisbee (Jonathan Roumie).

Together and with the power of the Holy Spirit, Chuck and Lonnie finally bring the Gospel closer to the desperate people.
