A “Polly” Rosborough fuzzy nymph from the photo and recipe in The Founding Flies by Mike Valla

Hook: #10 - 12 nymph (weighted for desired fishing depth)
Thread: gray
Tail: Guinea hen fine spotted feather barbs
Body: mix of beaver/muskrat and jackrabbit or hare’s ear (pull out guard hairs) rolled into a spindle and twisted into a dubbing loop applied with generous lacquer
Legs: three Guinea hen feather barbs on each side
Wing case: gray/dark gray ostrich flue (clump of 5-6 herl) tied by butt end under head and clipped square 1/4 length of body
Head: gray thread or optional black thread

Head cement recipe:
Goop
Xylene (epoxy thinnner)

Instructions:
Fill a quart jar half full with Xylene
Squeeze a tube of Goop into the Xylene
Shake until the Goop is dissolved; add Xylene to desired consistency

Apply with a pin or needle dipped in the liquid
