Racist? DM responds: I take the major form of racism in our society today to be Islamophobia. I also take the primary geopolitical/anti-imperial struggle of the day to be the struggle against Zionism and the genocide in Gaza/Palestine.

I am afraid that my Accusers views express an outmoded anti-fascism/anti-racism. This is in hoc to the Zionists and is unwilling to offend them. It is not focused on defeating them. It has been out of date for decades, stretching back as far as the 1970s and early movements like the ANL and RAR and perhaps beyond to the 1940s, as I have suggested in research on this period (See A. below). As a result of this most of the left and the British anti-racist movement has tried to collaborate with the Zionists in building an ‘anti-racist’ or ‘anti–fascist’ movement. But this collaboration always comes with a price, that price is selectivity about the kinds of racism that are seen as significant or identified and also a refusal of ones Zionist comrades to allow challenges to Zionism as an inherently racist ideology. This has concrete effects not just in Palestine but in the UK, most notably in the encouragement of elite and popular Islamophobia via neoconservatism and street movements, respectively.

This view of anti-racism has been fatefully outmoded since large sections of the far right have been co-opted by Zionists as has been the case with Tommy Robinson/English Defence League and with the ‘Counterjihad’ movement more generally. I wrote about the role of the Zionists in the EDL and its afterlife in the persona of ‘Tommy Robinson’ recently. (link B. below) Today this flawed approach is expressed in the activities of Stand up to Racism, which cannot so much as mention Zionism as a form of contemporary racism and its role in fuelling Islamophobia in the UK.(link C.)

To come to the allegations.

1. My Accuser is a supporter of the Syrian ‘revolution’, and appears to be an anarchist of some sort. In my view the so-called revolution in Syria is nothing more than a Zionist/NATO/CIA supported move to destroy the Axis of Resistance- the only material force which is active in challenging Zionism materially and kinetically. To support what has happened in Syria is to support the Zionist plan for a Greater Israel and a sabotage of the Palestinian Resistance. It is thus fundamentally a racist and pro-genocide position. I wrote about this operation recently as well (link D. below)
2. I have been on Stew Peters’ show and on many other shows where I disagree with the host or other participants.
3. I was not ‘sharing a platform’ with Lucas Gage, but was on a separate pre-recorded section.
4. I would happily debate my views with Lucas Gage, whether he is a racist or not. Imagine that everything that is said about Lucas Gage is true. Is he really a bigger threat to Muslims, Palestinians (and even Jews) in this country than the genocidaires of the Zionist movement?
5. If the criteria is that we must not go on shows where the journalistic outlet, presenter or guests are racists, there would be few shows left to go on. Not GB News. And not the BBC, where the genocidal Raffi Berg sits astride editorial clearance on the genocide; or indeed any other part of the mainstream media.
6. Would my accuser (as a supporter of the Zionist/NATO/CIA strategy in Syria) refuse to be on a platform with or debate a Zionist? Or is he selective about the kinds of racist he is willing to engage with?
7. It’s notable that my accuser doesn’t criticise me for associating with Peters alleged anti-Muslim views. That’s because one form of ‘racism’ or prejudice is held by my accuser as sacrosanct.
8. It’s notable that I was allowed by Peters to expound my ideas on Islamophobia with which he appears not to agree. This is called debate.

What I say is based on years of research and whether it is empirically wrong or expresses ‘racist’ sentiment, is a matter for specific analysis and not guilt by association depending on who I might speak to or engage with. I will take no advice attempting to police who I talk to from those who are equivocal about the inherent racism of the genocidal ideology of Zionism and the need to defeat it.
