Exodus Chapters 7 and 8 Bible Study Explanation

Chapter Seven sees Moses and Aaron perform miracles to convince Pharaoh to let the Israelites go, but Pharaoh's heart remains hardened. The plagues were literal and had a definite strategy and purpose but Pharaoh was not willing to relent and it would cost him. God uses the plagues to glorify himself and to give Pharaoh a chance to repent and Chapter Eight describes a set of plagues that gave Pharaoh another opportunity to repent and let the Israelites go.
