ADMIRAL RICHARD E. BYRD CONFIRMS THERE'S MORE LAND BEYOND ANCTARTICA

Shortly after this interview Admiral Richard E. Byrd dies on 3.11.1957 , next year NASA is created on 7.29.1958, then the following year the Antartica Treaty is established in 12.1.1959. The govertment reacted swiftly as soon as Captain Byrd spoke too freely.
