Episode 3 of the Modernist Fish podcast is an interview with Orthodox catechumen Ian (a.k.a AverageSoutherner online). We met online earlier this week while debating some sedevacantists and had a great conversation on theology. Today we decided to have another about what unites and still divides us as Orthodox vs. Catholics, what is true vs. false ecumenism, the sad state of sedevacantists like the Dimondites, how to debate heretics with charity, on living a full spiritual life through praying constantly, and more. We had so much to say about all of these topics, that we made it nowhere near other theological issues like Palamism, Hesychasm, and Monarchical Trinitarianism, as well as of course the Papacy and conciliarism, so we hope to have another conversation soon.
