Experiment examines claims by media that cameras are showing fog particles

In this video I did an experiment to test media claims that the particles that some to have seen on camera in odd fogs are in fact water droplets or ice crystals. I simulated fog using a kettle of water on a hot plate, and used two different cameras to film the improvised fog. I was disappointed with the volume of the "fog", but the cameras clearly did not show the particles that people are seeing. The first camera is a handy cam, and the second a more sophisticated Minolta camera.
Fog particles run between 10 and 50 microns in size, and you would need a microscope over 1000x to see them!
