Our chronological Scripture reading continues with today’s study of Job 7-8. Eliphaz was the first friend to speak to Job, and he asserted that the man was afflicted because he refused to confess his sin. Job’s response to Eliphaz’s harsh judgment began in Chapter 6 and continued in Chapter 7. Job 8 recorded the harsh rebuke of Job’s second friend, Bildad the Shuhite.
