Inspired by Psalm 105:3

The composition Exulto was selected as one of the winners of the 2012 Dallas Wind Symphony Brass Fanfare Competition and was inspired by Psalm 105:3 - “Exult in his holy name; rejoice, you who worship the Lord.”

The Texas Tech University Brass and Percussion Ensemble premiered the fanfare in Dallas, Texas on February 12th, under the direction of Dr. Sarah McKoin.
Exulto is dedicated to Mr. Steve McNeal and the Fort Collins Wind Symphony in Fort Collins, Colorado.

Steve McNeal has been the director of the Fort Collins Wind Symphony for over 10 years. He is a retired music educator, having taught for 36 years in Poudre School District. He is a nationally recognized music lecturer and guest conductor.

The Fort Collins Wind Symphony is a 50-member adult symphonic wind ensemble with membership drawn from the northern Colorado region. The organization has a 22 year history and is known and respected for its musical excellence, leadership, membership continuity and service to music education. Under the direction of Mr. Steve McNeal, the Fort Collins Wind Symphony performs four regular season concerts each year.
