420 million gallons of water stored for New York residents

The water supply situation in New York State has improved. New York State reservoirs are 75% full. A total of 420 million gallons of water have been stored, according to the Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC).

The department's website reports: "In cooperation with the State's Drought Management Task Force, DEC updated drought status from “Drought Watch” to “Normal” statewide, including New York City, after assessing recent precipitation and elevated levels of ground and surface water."
