This is the true story about how eBay execs milked what would have been the best International vehicle trading community, founded on trust. Unfortunately, Ma Meg Whitman and Pierre Odimyer were greedy and bankrolled the profits. Car dealers said at the auctions, "This car will bring $$$ on eBay." But soon the dregs of the car business were cosmetically dolling up junk and lying about its condition. Pierres' community and trust were beginning to collapse. Then came the Romanian fraudsters stealing legitimate sellers' photos, descriptions, and VINs. Then listing the car (1-3 YO Highline, Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Porsche, at too be true incredibly low prices. Scammers started using suckers as eBay Agents who the buyer would bank wire his payment to.
