MARY GRACE: Feature Film NORTH CAROLINA GROUND ZERO with Ann Vandersteel LIVE Q&A following the FILM

When Hurricane Helene struck the mountains of Western North Carolina on September 27th, 2024, nobody was prepared for the devastation that ensued. The storm left a wake of destruction unlike anything seen in modern history. Entire towns were washed away. Untold numbers of lives lost. It's estimated that 25% of the entire state of North Carolina was affected. On top of everything, the government response was severely lacking and at times totally absent.

In the hours and days following the storm, it was clear that the people were in dire need of help. Ann Vandersteel, an investigative journalist and correspondent in the information war, was boots on the ground within days. It was clear shortly after she arrived that this was more than just a storm. Not only were people not getting the help they needed, she and her team began to uncover evidence of potentially more sinister activities on the part of the federal government. The film North Carolina Ground Zero is the first installment of a docu-series intended to find answers and bring awareness to what exactly is going on in the mountains of Western North Carolina in the week of hurricane Helene.
