"I'm not stopping until I bring her home." Amazon MGM Studios has revealed the first official trailer for A Working Man, the latest action thriller from David Ayer. This is the next team-up between Ayer and actor Jason Statham following The Beekeeper last year. Formerly titled Levon's Trade, now known as A Working Man, this is set to play in theaters at the end of March coming up in just a few months. Levon Cade left his profession behind to work construction and be a good dad to his daughter. But when a local girl vanishes, he's asked to return to the skills that made him a mythic figure in the shadowy world of counter-terrorism. Starring Jason Statham as Agent Levon Cade, with David Harbour, Michael Peña, Jason Flemyng, and Arianna Rivas as Jenny. As much as I enjoyed The Beekeeper because he was a funny character taking out idiot scammers, this looks like the generic action junk we see too often these days. Will it be any good?
Here's the official trailer (+ poster) for David Ayer's action film A Working Man, direct from YouTube:

"Human Traffickers Beware." Levon Cade (Jason Statham), an ex-black ops agent, leads a peaceful life with his daughter as a construction worker. However, Levon is forced to use his old set of skills to find his boss's teenage daughter and soon uncovers a criminal conspiracy that has the potential to wreak havoc on Levon's peaceful life. A Working Man, formerly known as Levon's Trade, is directed by the American action filmmaker David Ayer, of the movies Harsh Times, Street Kings, End of Watch, Sabotage, Fury, Suicide Squad, Bright, The Tax Collector, and The Beekeeper most recently. The screenplay is by Sylvester Stallone and David Ayer. Based on the book "Levon's Trade" written by Chuck Dixon. Produced by David Ayer, Chris Long, Jason Statham, Sylvester Stallone, John Friedberg, Bill Block. MGM Studios will debut David Ayer's A Working Man moie in theaters starting March 28th, 2025 coming soon. Who wants to watch this movie?
Jason Statham is back with another brutal action flick.
On Thursday, Jan. 9, Amazon MGM Studios debuted the first trailer for A Working Man, in which Statham plays Levon Cade, a former special forces soldier working in construction who takes on human traffickers after they kidnap his boss' daughter.
The trailer shows Levon living a simple life after his wife's death and his retirement from the U.K.'s Royal Marines. He finds a second family in his boss (Michael Peña) and his family — and he takes on a solo mission when the family's daughter goes missing after a night out with friends.
Statham, 57, is shown tracking down human traffickers and fighting his way through a number of action sequences as he investigates the kidnapping.
He connects with a former military pal (David Harbour) to acquire weapons and finds that both organized crime and government officials have been corrupted by human trafficking organizations.

A Working Man reunites Statham with director David Ayer, with whom he made last year's action-revenge movie The Beekeeper.
Ayer, 56, co-wrote A Working Man with Sylvester Stallone, whom Statham previously worked with on The Expendables franchise. The film is based on the 2014 novel Levon's Trade by Chuck Dixon.
"Levon Cade left behind a decorated military career in the black ops to live a simple life working construction," reads a synopsis. "But when his boss’ daughter, who is like family to him, is taken by human traffickers, his search to bring her home uncovers a world of corruption far greater than he ever could have imagined." A tagline for the film reads: "Human traffickers beware."

The film also stars Jason Flemyng, Merab Ninidze, Maximilian Osinski, Cokey Falkow, Noemi Gonzalez, Arianna Rivas, Emmett J. Scanlan and Eve Mauro.
A Working Man is in theaters March 29.
Jason Statham clocks in for some brutal fights in the action-packed trailer for A Working Man.
Directed by David Ayer (The Beekeeper, Suicide Squad) and based on Chuck Dixon's book Levon's Trade, A Working Man stars Statham as Levon Cade, a former black ops agent-turned-construction worker. But when the daughter (Arianna Rivas) of his beloved boss (Michael Peña) goes missing, Levon will have to break out his old military skills in order to rescue her from human traffickers and corrupt government officials. Ayer co-wrote A Working Man's screenplay with Sylvester Stallone.
A Working Man's first trailer is full of Statham kicking ass with construction equipment, including walloping some opponents with a pick axe and a bucket. We also get a sneak peek of David Harbour (Stranger Things) as one of Levon's former army friends and his current "weapon sommelier." Cue the gunfights and beatdowns.
A Working Man hits theaters March 28.
“Jason Statham Becomes One of the Most Reliable Action Stars of the 2020s” might not have been on anyone’s bingo card of film industry predictions at the end of 2019, but it appears to be shaping out that way.
The “Transporter” star has enjoyed a career renaissance in recent years, leading the 2023 shark sequel “Meg 2: The Trench” to nearly $400 million at the global box office before teaming up with David Ayer for the ridiculous (and ridiculously fun) action thriller “The Beekeeper.” Now, Amazon MGM hopes that the pairing of Ayer and Statham can produce even more box office gold after with reunion movie “A Working Man.”
Adapted from veteran comic book writer Chuck Dixon’s 2014 novel “Levon’s Trade,” “A Working Man” is co-written by Ayer and Sylvester Stallone. With those kinds of legacy connections to the action genre on both sides of the camera, it should come as a surprise to no one that the film follows a special ops veteran who is forced to come out of retirement to save a young woman who falls into unimaginable danger.

Trailers
A Working Man gets its first trailer, revealing more about the upcoming Jason Statham action thriller. Directed by David Ayer, the new movie marks another collaboration between Ayer and Statham after The Beekeeper, which was a surprise hit at the beginning of 2024. A Working Man stars Statham as Levon Cade, a former black ops soldier who has given up his violent ways for a life as a construction worker. When his boss' daughter is kidnapped, however, he sets out to rescue her, uncovering corruption at every turn.
Amazon MGM Studios now shares the first trailer for A Working Man, teasing another action-packed Statham adventure. The trailer provides a better look at the movie's impressive supporting cast, which includes Michael Peña as Levon's boss and David Harbour as Gunny, Levon's blind former special forces companion. As is to be expected with a Statham movie, the trailer also highlights that there will be plenty of action, including hand-to-hand combat and a fair number of shootouts. Check out the trailer below:
Habour will be best known to many audiences for his role in the Stranger Things cast as Jim Hopper, in addition to his role as Red Guardian in the MCU.
What The A Working Man Trailer Means For The Movie
Will It Repeat The Beekeeper's Success?
Jason Statham looking over his shoulder as Levon in A Working Man
On the surface, A Working Man doesn't look all that different from many of Statham's other action movies, and that might be a good thing. The film has plenty in common with The Beekeeper, which isn't surprising given that they both hail from the same director, and that film was a hit. The Beekeeper currently enjoys a 71% critics score on Rotten Tomatoes and a 92% audience score, and it also grossed $152 million worldwide at the box office.

It's not clear what A Working Man's budget is, but The Beekeeper was made for about $40 million, and the new movie likely isn't too far off from that figure. Statham, in these action-forward roles, continues to be an audience draw, and his stature has only increased due to his starring roles in The Meg movies and the Fast & Furious franchise. With A Working Man's trailer assuring audiences that they're in for more of the same from Statham with some fresh story twists and at least one unique supporting character, the film could end up being successful when it releases in March.
Statham plays Deckard Shaw in the Fast & Furious franchise, a role he recently reprised for Fast X.
Our Take On A Working Man's Trailer
Statham Continues To Entertain
Jason Statham aiming a rifle as Levon in A Working Man
With The Beekeeper 2 not yet confirmed, A Working Man looks like the perfect way to tide audiences over with more Statham action. Though Statham has always been physically gifted as an actor when it comes to fight choreography, Ayer, especially, seems to really be able to take advantage of this, and his gritty style benefits a Statham action vehicle.
It's worth keeping in mind, however, that many Statham action movies don't end up faring well with critics. The Beekeeper was a bit of an exception, but it's entirely possible that A Working Man won't repeat this success, even if it ends up being a box office win. That, though, might not matter, as it's clear that Statham's charisma and fight prowess is often enough for audiences. The trailer for A Working Man confirms that there will be plenty of that on display.

Sylvester Stallone originally developed an adaptation of the Chuck Dixon novel Levon's Trade as a television series with Balboa Productions.[1] The project changed into a film that was up for sale at the 2023 American Film Market, where the film was first announced to have David Ayer attached to direct and Jason Statham to star.[2] In January 2024, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer acquired U.S. distribution rights to the film from Black Bear International, who sold the film to independent distributors elsewhere.[3] The film was put into development in part due to its potential for subsequent entries given the number of novels written by Dixon in the series.[4]
In April 2024, David Harbour, Michael Peña, Jason Flemyng, Arianna Rivas, Noemi Gonzalez, Emmett J. Scanlan, Eve Mauro, Maximilian Osinski, Kristina Poli, Andrej Kaminsky and Isla Gie joined the cast in undisclosed roles.[5]
Principal photography began in April 2024 in London.[5][6] Filming also took place at Winnersh Film Studios in Berkshire, where it wrapped on May 31.[7]
Release
In April 2024, the film was set to be released in the United States on January 17, 2025.[5] In December 2024, the title was changed from Levon's Trade to A Working Man, with a new release date of March 28, 2025.[8]
