### **Ingredients:**
#### For Chicken Tikka:
- Boneless chicken: 500 g (cut into bite-sized pieces)
- Yogurt: 1/2 cup
- Ginger-garlic paste: 1 tbsp
- Red chili powder: 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder: 1/4 tsp
- Garam masala powder: 1/2 tsp
- Cumin powder: 1/2 tsp
- Coriander powder: 1/2 tsp
- Lemon juice: 1 tbsp
- Mustard oil: 1 tbsp (optional, for flavor)
- Salt: to taste
- Skewers (if grilling)
#### For Gravy:
- Oil/butter/ghee: 2-3 tbsp
- Onion: 2 medium, finely chopped
- Tomatoes: 3 large, pureed
- Ginger-garlic paste: 1 tbsp
- Green chilies: 2, slit
- Red chili powder: 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder: 1/4 tsp
- Coriander powder: 1 tsp
- Cumin powder: 1/2 tsp
- Garam masala powder: 1/2 tsp
- Kasuri methi (dried fenugreek leaves): 1 tsp (crushed)
- Cream: 2-3 tbsp
- Fresh coriander leaves: for garnish
- Water: as required

### **Instructions:**
#### **Step 1: Marinate the Chicken**
1. In a bowl, mix yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric, garam masala, cumin, coriander powder, lemon juice, mustard oil (if using), and salt.
2. Add the chicken pieces and mix well to coat.
3. Cover and marinate for at least 1 hour (preferably overnight in the refrigerator).
#### **Step 2: Cook the Chicken Tikka**
- **Grill or Stovetop:**
1. Preheat a grill or oven to 200°C (400°F).
2. Thread the chicken onto skewers (optional) and grill for 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until slightly charred and cooked.
3. Alternatively, cook in a hot pan with a little oil until done.
#### **Step 3: Prepare the Gravy**
1. Heat oil/butter in a pan. Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
2. Add ginger-garlic paste and green chilies; cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
3. Add pureed tomatoes and cook until the oil separates.
4. Mix in red chili powder, turmeric, coriander powder, cumin powder, and salt. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
5. Add water (about 1 cup) and let the gravy simmer for 5-7 minutes.
#### **Step 4: Combine Tikka and Gravy**
1. Add the cooked chicken tikka pieces to the gravy and mix well.
2. Sprinkle garam masala powder and crushed kasuri methi. Stir.
3. Add cream and mix gently. Simmer for 2-3 minutes.
#### **Step 5: Garnish and Serve**
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and a drizzle of cream.
- Serve hot with naan, roti, or steamed rice.
