If It Ain’t the Republicans Bringing School Choice to NOVA—No. Really.

Over 725 doors in Arlington have had, despite blizzard conditions that closed government offices, schools and businesses, have had a letter from the President left on their door, while they were away, or just not responding when the “White House [Was] Calling”, and with the Board of Elections beginning to accept candidate signature solicitation petitions, the first to file and halfway to ballot qualification is not even a member of Arlington NAACP, Branch 7047, to put at least one Black face on the school board over the plurality students of color public school district where 90% of children of the most educated and affluent voters in Virginia send their children to receive the second-best public education in the entire state, ranked sixth for learning losses in reading and math, and where their children are rounding out the bottom in schools where 43% of seniors in the Class of 2022 had failed to get accepted to 91% selective VCU. And a top 25 graduate in a class that sent first-generation children of immigrants performing below him to Harvard and other Ivy League colleges and military service academies is “not a serious option candidate” for war-hardened Arlington Democrats and a “hard pass” for Arlington GOP.

Mary Kadera said in 2021 that these were D letter grade schools, and she in four years as a mom, school volunteer, like Monique O’Grady before her did nothing at all with their claims of leadership experience to alter that paradigm, while both had supported even the closing of public schools when China was reopening after only one month of closure and when they reopened without even developing the plan for safe reopening they had been ordered by the State Health Commissioner, a Black doctor, to develop in June 2020. We see an interesting pattern here in progressive Arlington. Over one thousand decided that the NIOSH, under Black as Can Be Barack Obama, did not know science, and rejected their simulated challenge study a decade before the pandemic, and demanded that their children should be wearing protection his study established would not work. What do ya call a Black man who graduated from Harvard? There is not a story in the progressive press about the Whites Only sign on the school board. But we sure as all unholy Hell advertise that Black Lives Matter. J.D. Spain, a former NAACP President won’t even talk to a former education secretary about improving outcomes for his kids, and Bret Schundler graduated from a public high school in an affluent suburb of New York where kids consistently graduated and went to Ivy League colleges like he did. Or are affluent Virginia suburbs not quite equivalent to what we have in New Jersey. I get the distinct impression that these open-minded folks never met a minority who did not have an achievement gap in school. And racist as they say my alma mater is I was twice elected to student government easily, and we know my history hyeah. Gnome sayin’? Dog?” remarked Major Mike Webb, trying to sound really Black.

Your elected representative is called your elected representative for a reason; and Martin Luther King and Jesus never got elected.
