We lost one of the greatest songwriters of a generation when Kris Kristofferson died on Sept. 28, 2024. That was a very busy time in our country, so I didn't get a tribute video together until things slowed down a little in January 2025.

In this video I highlight 4 songs that Kris wrote, all in different genres.
Starting with his break-out hit ,"Sunday Morning Coming Down" which won Country Music Song of the Year for Johnny Cash in 1970.
Here is a link to a live version of the song:

Then I used a lyric version of Jane Joplin's rocking bluesy recording of, "Me and Bobby McGee:"

For pure soul, nothing beats Al Green's heartrending version of, "Fo the Good Times."

Finally Kris joins his bandmates in The Highway Men to sing, "Loving her was easier than anything I'll ever do again:"
