Firefighters in Los Angeles are battling multiple wildfires fueled by Santa Ana winds and dry conditions, forcing tens of thousands to evacuate.

The largest, the Palisades Fire, has destroyed over 1,000 buildings, grown to 16,000 acres, and displaced 30,000 residents.

The Eaton Fire in Altadena has claimed five lives, spreading to over 10,000 acres, while the Hurst Fire near San Fernando triggered evacuations in Santa Clarita.

Other fires include the Sunset Fire in Hollywood Hills and smaller contained blazes like the Woodley and Olivas fires, the BBC has reported.
