The Cuisine of SAPA!! 🇻🇳 Mountain Town Food in Northern Vietnam

Sapa is a mountain town in Northern Vietnam, roughly 8 hours bus drive from the capital city of Hanoi. Up there, the air is cooler, the views amazing, and the Vietnamese food peculiar.
I love getting away from the classic touristy spots, to explore how food looks like in remote locations, and how local people create their cuisine. This is what I love about food vlogging.
Actually, Sapa is far away from being "hidden"; in fact, it is quite touristy, especially with Vietnamese people coming from other parts of Vietnam. However its cuisine is certainly not been seen countless of times across popular food vloggers channels (contrary to Hanoi).
Food in Sapa was surprising because it's only partially what you would expect from a mountain town. For example they love chestnuts there, and all you can create with them, such as beautiful cakes sold extensively throughout the streets and tantalising you from far away with their warm and nutty aroma.
On the other hands, I was not expecting to find a crazy abundance of the freshest salmon and sturgeon; restaurants have large water tubs where they keep these fishes ready to be sliced in a platter of wonderful sashimi - and oh boy if I have indulged in that.

I hope you like this video about Sapa cuisine; there will be some more Vietnamese street food in this locations, before we go into the further North-East (and wildest) Vietnam.

This is a travel for food channel and I enjoy eating street food around the world! Eating street food from different countries is what keeps me alive :D
