Airport set to hire its own police force.

After three years of serving over 250,000 boarding passengers, Cherry Capital
Airport in Traverse City is now required to have its own in-house police force.
Cherry Capitals new security will have five full-time officers and one supervisor for a staff total of six. The $800,000 cost was accounted for in their 2025 budget that includes salaries, cars and equipment. David Barr Michigan News Source.
