Prior to his arrest. Director of the Kamal Adwan Hospital in North Gaza -

the last standing hospital there, that was bombed incessantly and lit on fire. "I will not leave my hospital," he declared, defiantly, as the tanks rolled toward him and tore down its walls. Look at him.

He is not walking away from danger. He is walking toward it. Fearless. With his white coat on. The Hippocratic Oath he took was no hypocrisy. He was committed to his besieged patients, his people, until the very end.
