Re: just as an angel touched Isaiah's lips with a fiery piece of coal to remove his guilt/sins and make him holy in his life, this same fire may make people holy in the postmortem afterlife. Yet the more determined one may be to cling to his or her sins in both this life and the next life, the longer and more painful this cleansing process may be in God's postmortem "lake of fire."
