Daytime heating caused some instability to our north this afternoon with showers and thunderstorms mostly in the U.P. but a few showers did make their way into Northeast Wisconsin. A few showers may linger into the early evening once the sun sets, but by later tonight, any precipitation will end. With the exception of some isolated patchy fog in spots, our skies should remain mostly clear as temperatures drop into the mid 60s under calm northwest winds between 2 to 5 mph.  The weekend looks warm and muggy with plenty of sunshine, though a few folks could see an isolated T'storm on Saturday afternoon and night. Most of the weekend should stay dry through with highs topping out in the mid- to upper-80s both days though cooling along Lake Michigan. This weekend also will be the Perseids Meteor Shower! All you have to do is look up into the night sky with as many as 60 meteors per hour. With the moons phase almost at a new moon, that will help you see the meteors even more! The peak days will be Saturday night and Sunday night.
