Election Irregularities: The Case for Transparency

Something doesn’t add up. How could a conservative candidate like Senator Elbert Guillory receive zero or one vote in precincts where Donald Trump had overwhelming support? It’s implausible. Yet, these anomalies occurred in a gerrymandered district during a recent election in Louisiana.

Christy Haik, our guest and President of the Louisiana Republican Assembly, shared troubling examples of voter suppression and irregularities. In one precinct, seven voters signed affidavits affirming their support for Brandon Trosclair in the Secretary of State race. Yet only five votes were recorded. Where did the other two votes go?

These aren’t just numbers—they’re civil rights violations. Accurate vote counting is a cornerstone of democracy. Without it, trust in our system erodes.
