New Lockport YMCA brings big opportunity

On October 1st, the brand new 52 thousand square foot YMCA will open in Lockport after breaking ground in July of 2017.  "Once people get here and see what we have to offer there's no choice but to be active in this facility" Executive Director of the Lockport YMCA Steve Henshaw said.  The facility, located at 5833 Snyder Drive, will feature a running track, two pools, a gym, state of the art workout equipment, and even a rock climbing wall. The entire project cost around $16 million dollars and took almost twenty years to get built. It will replace the old facility on 19 East Avenue.
