Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man COOKED By X-Men '97 Writer!

Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man is looking like a universal disaster for Marvel to kick off 2025. No one appears to be satisfied by this animated slop that looks poorly crafted and horrifically written. It is getting roasted left and right for every reason you can possibly think of.

One unique take comes from a former Marvel employee, someone responsible for the success pointed out in the trailer of this project, Beau DeMayo, the writer of X-Men '97. The fired scribe of the Mutant's return to animation is calling out Disney and Marvel for race swapping characters... but because they made a villain Black, he has a problem with it. Not so much respecting the source material, but he doesn't want to see the House of Mouse hold a brother down.

Woke on woke crime sure is funny.
