I decided to take the plunge and experience Bill Burr's infamous "Women Failed the WNBA" bit for the first time...and let me tell ya, I was NOT ready. Like, at ALL. 🙈 I knew Burr was gonna bring that classic cantankerous, no-holds-barred energy he's famous for, but WOW I was NOT prepared for the level of brutal, take-no-prisoners SAVAGERY this man unleashed!!
Right from the jump, Ol' Billy came out SWINGIN' with some ruthless, unfiltered TRUTH BOMBS about women and their total botching of the WNBA: 😳🔥
"LADIES! What in the world happened with this whole 'professional women's basketball' thing, huh?? I mean, did you ladies even PUT IN ANY EFFORT at all with this WNBA nonsense?? 'Cause from where I'm sitting, it looks like you executed an EPIC SELF-SABOTAGE!!"
I could feel the hairs on the back of my neck standing up as Burr just came out BLAZING with that vicious open! 😨 Like, was my man really about to just ROAST women to a crisp over some sports league struggles?? Before I could even think, Bill was already back on the ATTACK:
"Don't get me wrong, I love watchin' you lovely things run around in them tight shorts as much as the next guy - BUT GEEZ, MAKE A BASKET ONCE IN A WHILE!! 😤 What, did you ladies just assume everyone would tune in to see you miss every other shot while sweatin' through them tanks?? NEWSFLASH LADIES: Us FELLAS like to actually see some TALENT while we indulge in eye-candy thank you VERY much!!"
FOLKS...I AIN'T GONNA LIE...I was CLUTCHING MY PEARLS so hard during this part of the bit, you coulda carved a turkey with the vice-grip I had on those puppies! 💍🤯 Bill was utterly SLAMMING womankind with these brazen jabs about our total lack of basketball skills AND our hyper-sexualization all in one swoop! I didn't know whether to cheer or clutch my rosary beads in sheer offense!
But of course, the MADMAN wasn't done just yet. Not even CLOSE. Dude straight-up SHIFTED GEARS into another level of UNBRIDLED FEMALE RIDICULE:
"And what's the DEAL with calling it the 'WNBA' anyway, huh? Shouldn't that be called the 'WREC' or somethin'?? 'Cause I sure as heck wouldn't call what you ladies are doing out there 'BASKETBALL!!' More like...deep inhale...STRUGGLING FEMALE COORDINATION DRILLS SET TO THE SOUND OF SQUEAKY SNEAKERS AND SUFFERING MALE FANS!!"
AT THIS POINT I WAS HOWLING WITH LAUGHTER, Y'ALL!!! 😂🤪 Bill had taken the most sacred, distinguished aspects of women's athletics and accomplishments - the very acronym "WNBA" itself - and completely MOCKED IT, reducing it all to a bunch of flailing, failing "coordination drills" that apparently only exist to torture poor men everywhere! THE ABSOLUTE MADLAD!!!
I'm talking I was literally ROLLING on the floor, cackling like crazy at the way Burr was so utterly TEARING DOWN my gender's pride in our athletic pursuits. IT. WAS. INSANE. Dude was in PEAK Ol' Billy Give-Zero-Craps mode, not caring about being "canceled" or facing any blowback - he was ON A MISSION to scorch the earth of the WNBA with his scathing ROASTS!
I was actually CRYING laughing at this point, you guys!! 🤣😭 Bill's relentless female impersonations and over-the-top theatrics were SENDING ME into actual hysterics! He was SO far over-the-line into straight-up MOCKING WOMEN that it became this deliriously WRONG...yet undeniably HILARIOUS routine of pure madness! Like...could this MAN be MORE CANCELED after this?? WHO EVEN CARES, HE'S ALREADY IN FULL SCORCHED-EARTH MODE!!
And OF COURSE the mansplaining PEAK of the bit came at the very end, with Burr imploring the fellas:
