As a regular seasonal event, Hydro Québec, Ontario's Hydro One and other Canadian hydro electric companies have been regularly sending their help to the US South, to re-establish the electric grid for million of homes after severe hurricanes. In the past, Hydro-Québec deployed crews to Georgia and Florida to help after hurricanes. The province of Québec also offered help to Texas. Ontario's Hydro One also sent crews to Florida in an effort to support the millions of people left without power in the wake of hurricanes. Nearly 4.5 million homes and businesses lost power in just one storm in the US; and utility officials said it would take weeks to restore electricity to everyone. Hydro-Québec also assisted after Hurricane Jose hitting on long island New York. When it's not helping to repair electrical power grids after severe storms, it's Canadair firefighting waterbombers putting out infernos in places like California, Australia and even in Europe. So politicians, like old broken records, trying to score cheap political points with good neighbors and friends like Canada, only look at best out of touch with reality and totally senile.
