Leonard Ellerbe Speaks the TRUTH on Comparing Young Fighters to Boxing Legends!

Leonard Ellerbe told a reporter on Fight Hype, that boxing fans have to stop comparing these young fighters to legends of the past. I've been saying the same thing since I started this channel.

Fighters like Bennie Briscoe, Sugar Ray Robinson, Will Pep, Marvelous Marvin Hagler, Roberto Duran, Larry Holmes, James Toney, Roy Jones, Mike McCallum, Floyd Mayweather, Pernell Whitaker, Mike Tyson, Oscar Dela Hoya, and Tito Trinidad earned their status by fighting the best in the ring.

Today's fighters earn legendary status on Instagram, Twitter, male groupie reporters, and YouTube channels. Hairstyles, purses, earrings, clout, and popularity.

Fighters like Gervonta Davis, Devin Haney, Teofimo Lopez, & Ryan Garcia have been compared to the 4 Kings of the past by modern-day reporters and boxing websites.

I do my best to educate young and old boxing fans on how to grade a fighter by drawing comparisons to legends of the past. You don't become a legend based on social media and male-groupies.

You become a legend by doing legendary sh*t. The bar is set so low in today's American boxing that the young and old alike praise fighters for anything.

Fighters who do legendary things like Terence Crawford, Canelo, Oleksandr Usyk, Bam Rodriguez, and Naya Inoue get no recognition. American boxing has gone to sh*t and I love it!

I've been warning you for years now what American boxing is coming to. Now, the fans are starting to see it.

Let's keep talking about purses, boxing dads, hairstyles, veneers, tattoos, and clout. This seems to be what the people want to hear more of in today's American Boxing.

When American boxing gets back to how it is supposed to be, I'll be here. Until then, let's continue to talk about the bullsh*t.
