What is winter storm phasing?

"Phasing" is when storm energy combines to form a bigger storm, like a blizzard. That won't happen this weekend as the energy doesn't come together and you don't get the big storm on the East Coast. What we will see is weather highway blocking or a traffic jam with a Greenland block to the north and low pressure stuck to the south. The wind will ramp up and the temps will go way down over New England the next few days.
