Silvia Maria:
I send you a very special greeting. I received your note and I am happy to respond to it: I tell you that I feel very good and very happy to know that the Colombian people are happy and optimistic. I inform you that we have confirmed the presentation of approximately twelve people so far. I am making contacts so that others can come forward and resolve their problems with justice. Almost all my time will be dedicated to reading and studying. For the moment I'm going to read Stefan Zweig.

I have received your note. Thank you very much for the
concepts expressed in it.
I am happy because I know that people are happy
and calm. I who have lived through war know what
It means peace.
I have no conscience. My fight was for ideals other than ambition or money: Family, freedom, life, rights of nationality and country,
marginalized and unprotected classes and rights humans.
All wars are cruel and criminal. In all wars, innocent people die, unrelated to the
conflicts. That happened in Iraq, in Vietnam and
also in Panama or Japan when the government
of the United States dropped two atomic bombs
against the civilian population. I also have widows and orphans left
of this cruel and criminal war.
I have many tombs left to visit, but many
of my friends and colleagues did not even have the right to have a grave because they were
missing and thrown from helicopters to the jungle or the great rivers.
I don't care how long I'll be here but I would really like to see his face in a
public trial of senior criminal officers of the
national police that has a very high quota of
responsibility in this entire national tragedy.
I have another enormous satisfaction left:
My money always fulfilled a social function.
I didn't bury it in bins or "caletas", I invested it
in social works for the community and for the people.
