The use of nuclear weapons has always been one of the world's most worrying phenomena. At the moment, the possible use of such weapons could change the course of the war between Ukraine and Russia. The Moscow regime claims to have dusted off 5,977 nuclear warheads since the beginning of the war. Kremlin leader Vladimr Putin is trying to show the West the potential for nuclear weapons in his country. Since the beginning of his full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Vladimir Putin and his propagandists have repeatedly threatened the country's nuclear arsenal and stoked fears that Moscow might resort to such weapons in its full-scale invasion. The aim of this stance was for Putin to try to reduce or completely lift the Western sanctions imposed on Russia by the United States and other Western countries. In recent days, the Russian leader has turned the barrel of the country's nuclear weapons back towards the West in pursuit of this goal. But China, seen as one of the most important actors in the Pacific, was uncomfortable with this. As much as the Beijing regime profited from Russia's pressure on Japan and the tensions it created in the Pacific, it was unwilling to even consider the possibility that Putin might resort to nuclear weapons during the ongoing war in Ukraine and was planning to confront even Russia to prevent this from happening. That's why Chinese leader Xi Jinping sent a stern warning to Russian President Vladimr Putin about nuclear weapons.

So why had China suddenly warned Russia against using nuclear weapons and secretly sent Putin an ultimatum? Was the Beijing regime choosing to confront Russia so that its plans in the Pacific would not be overshadowed by the Trump administration in the US? Whatever their intentions, China's warning to Russia not to use nuclear weapons signaled a redefinition of global relations and a redistribution of cards in Eastern Europe and the Pacific.
