Posted • January 6, 2025: A 12-year-old Georgia boy was left with severe burns after his friends poured boiling water on him during a sleepover 'prank.' The 12-year-old boy was sleeping at a neighbor's apartment while three other boys, aged 12 to 15, played video games. One of the boys thought it would be a prank to pour hot water on him. The boy was transported to a burn center in Augusta, underwent surgery, and is recovering at home. Second-degree burns typically take two to three weeks to heal and may leave scars.
