Fubo and Hulu + Live TV Meld Together

Fubo and Disney’s Hulu + Live TV are melding together. And the media industry is going back to the way things used to be as media consolidates. For Fubo users, a big questions is: will I finally get CNN, TNT and HGTV?

In a news release, the two companies say the two services will remain separate. And how long do you think that will last?

Fubo’s team is going to be spearheading the operations. While Disney, who owns Hulu, will own 70% of Fubo now. 

So how does this tip the scales? 

nScreenMedia says in early 2024 YouTube TV led the pack among Virtual Multichannel Video Programming Distributor, that you see here in red. If you take that slice of Fubo and add it to Hulu + Live TV, now you’re giving YouTube TV a run for their money. 

We’ll see how long it takes for these new virtual multichannel video programming distributors to overtake the legacy multichannel video programming distributors, also know as cable TV companies, that you see here in blue.
