GRACE FOR GUILT #1

Grace costs the GIVER everything, and the RECEIVER nothing !

GUILT is a WARNING LIGHT that something needs to be fixed." (Ps/ 38:4)

KINDS OF GUILT
(1) GENUINE Guilt
(2) FALSE Guilt

Usually the result of incidences that may not have been your fault

Is there because you just can't get past your past (Galatians 3:3)

TYPICAL WAYS WE RESPOND TO GUILT
1. Shame
2. Hiding
3. Blame

GOD'S WAY OF HANDLING GUILT: GRACE
"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness." 1 John 1:9

"I finally admitted all my sins to You and stopped trying to hide them. I said to myself, `I will confess them to the Lord.' And You forgave me! All my guilt is gone." Psalm 32:5 (TLB)

The Good News About God’s Grace is that though we are all guilty, we can still be declared righteous. And the sin is totally forgiven as well as forgotten.
