A Family "Batting" Against a Life-Threatening Disease

Bill and Melissa Ustruck’s two sons both lost their battles with Battens disease at the age of 6. NCL2 battens, which the boys had, has a life expectancy of 6-10 years old. Children are born healthy, around age 3 after hitting most milestones, the child begins having vision problems, seizures and ultimately loses all abilities both mental and physical. Sullivan passed away in December 2013 and Colton in April 2015. The family is honoring the memory of Sully and Colty, and fighting against Battens Disease with a very unique fundraiser.
