You Take it from Here

By Pastor Gary Wayne

When dad taught me to do things, this was the normal way - he would do it; I would watch. We would do it. I would do it; he would watch. As we are stepping into this new year, I feel God saying, I have taught you, now go – you take it from here.
I’m not alone, He is right here with me, but He is wanting me to exercise my position in Him.

The last few times we were together in December I keep feeling God emphasizing that we are where we are because He has orchestrated our life for His purpose.
We ended last Sunday praying for each other as ministers God has strategically placed.

Text: Ephesians 1:11, Romans 8:14-16

Rom.8:14-16 Message Bible
14 God’s Spirit beckons. There are things to do and places to go!
15 This resurrection life you received from God is not a timid, grave-tending life. It’s adventurously expectant, greeting God with a childlike “What’s next, Papa?”
16 God’s Spirit touches our spirits and confirms who we really are. We know who He is, and we know who we are: Father and children.

Ver. 14 keeps playing in my heart. “What’s next Papa?”

Can you sense God’s excitement to partner with you to fulfill your purpose?
Eph.1:11
The Message Bible - Ver.11 "It's in Christ that we find out who we are and what we are living for. Long before we first heard of Christ and got our hopes up, He had His eye on us, had designs on us for glorious living, part of the overall purpose He is working out in everything and everyone."
Passion Translation - Ver.11 "Through our union with Christ we too have been claimed by God as His own inheritance. Before we were even born, He gave us our destiny; that we would fulfill the plan of God who always accomplishes every purpose and plan in His heart".

Book - Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren –“What on earth am I hear for?”
There are things to do and places to go!

I am committed to living for God! But I want to live 2025 out of passion for this.
I want to “fulfill the plan of God for…” for my purpose.
Not just commitment. (Pray this.)
Holy Spirit I ask You to activate my faith-based imagination.
Where do You want to take me, What do you want me to do?

I want to ask you for the rest of this month to be involved in something like spiritual mapping.
What I’m asking has two parts to this.
1. Spend time with the Holy Spirit, and ask Him to place the name of someone you will commit to praying for every day till the end of this month. Choose 1 to 2 people or a family.
Write their name / names down and place is in a strategic place that will remind you to pray for them throughout the day.

2. Maybe sit down with map of Seeley Lake and ask the Holy Spirit where you are to target praying for.
Daily, spend time praying for that area / block / street / neighborhood.
Make time to drive / walk around that area, asking Holy Spirit, what is on Your heart? Who lives here? What do they need? Salvation? Deliverance? Freedom? Finance? Healing?
Then for the rest of this month, commit to covering that area in prayer as one assigned by the Father for “such a time as this.”
