Kids that aren't being treated like automatons in the typical school setting… Those bright youngsters. So, when do the kids learn about the area of a rectangle or a triangle? It really varies, and your six-year-old might start learning the area of a rectangle, whereas your 12 year old might need high repetitions in this area… AREA. See that? You as the parent know best, not the old gray hairs in the K through 12 system. So… fourth grade, maybe?
