New Orleans Attacker’s Meta Glasses Scoped The Area Before Terrorist Attack

The man police say carried out an ISIS inspired attack in New Orleans used Meta glasses to scope out the area at least two times before ramming his truck through a crowd of people on Bourbon Street.

The FBI releasing footage that Shamsud Din Jabbar recorded with the smart glasses during a trip to the French Quarter. The glasses are able to record, hands free, anything in front of the person wearing them. They also allow the user to potentially livestream through their video.

He was wearing the same glasses during the attack when he killed 14 people and wounded dozens others.

The FBI is now saying that Jabbar could killed even more people with IEDs he planted around the packed tourist-district – however NOLA PD killed him in a shootout before he could reach the remote detonator.

The former U.S. Army soldier proclaimed his support for ISIS in online videos posted just hours before the attack.
