Plant of the Week - Ice-shroom - was offered between January 4, 2025 through January 11, 2025.

Ice-shroom is a member of the Winter-Mint.
Ice-shroom costs 175 Sun. (-25 Sun at levels 8 and 10.)
Ice-shroom attacks one (1) in front of it. (+1 tile at level 2.)
Ice-shroom does 200 damage. (+200 damage per level.)
Ice-shroom chills and extinguishes flames in a 3x3 area around itself.
Ice-shroom powers other Winter-Mint plants around itself in the same manner that Moonflower powers Shadow plants around itself.
This boost is 1.75x damage. (+0.25x on levels 6 and 10.)

Commentary:
Ice-shroom has received a major rework since Ice Bloom recreates many of Ice-shroom's abilities from earlier games. So obviously, we need to take a look at Ice-shroom.

Bottom line:
Ice-shroom has really improved into one of the better plants in the game. In the short range space, Ice-shroom does more damage than Bonk Choy, Pokra, Parsnip, etc. That in itself could make it worth the increased Sun cost.

Extinguishing flames and chilling zombies is an added bonus. Putting Ice-shroom on columns 7 and 8 will handle all those pesky fires. But wait, there's more!

A Winter-Mint powering effect is pretty good, eliminating the need for using Winter-Mint itself. While this is a cool idea, (bad joke), Many Winter-Mint plants are premium based. Only Winter-Melon and Ice-berg Lettuce are available to all players. Snow Pea and Cold Snapdragon are premium plants but mesh real well with Ice-shroom.

So the bottom line is to get this plant. Even if you only use this plant and a chiller and fire extinguisher, you won't be disappointed.
