When my special Rabbi spoke to me
he showed me what I thought I’d never see:
a planet full of people wide awake.
Perhaps they heard the words that Hashem spake?
When Moses led us from captivity
and our former masters perished in the sea,
we celebrate the liberation that we earned
but we remember every lesson that we learned:
a finger dipped into a glass of wine
to represent salvation that is yours and mine.

Now we sit together in this space
with relatives and friends face to face,
to celebrate the freedom of our race.
