Blythewood Sanitarium and the Murder of Paul Bern

#Blythewoodsanitarium of #Greenwich #Connecticut no longer exists. Built on the estate of #NYC power magnate #bosstweed , it contained cottages, a button factory, psychiatric facilities and even a golf course for the mentally ill. But #Blythewood was different from other #insaneasylum s of #NewEngland . Patients could come and go as they wish, and many escaped.
