Myanmar releases prisoners from notorious jail under amnesty

Myanmar state media reported on Saturday (January 4) the release of 24 Rohingya and nine foreign prisoners among the 1,009 freed from Insein prison in Yangon, under an amnesty marking the nation's independence day.
