R.I.P. FEATHER - FURCHILD TIMBERTRAVELER

She was an amazing dog and friend.
She hitchhiked over 30 000 km with me, and traveled almost every highway in western Canada.
@ 6 weeks old, she did her first Chanterelle mushroom excursion, and saw her 1st squirrel ( later to be known as "Newfie cougars").
She helped me pick mushrooms and chased Newfie cougars in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, North West Territories, Yukon Territory and Alaska.
She chased black bear and Elk out of my camps but left the deer alone.
She stool beside me, puffed out with low growls when we were approached by Grizzly in the Wapitti River/Red deer River Head Waters on the Eastern slopes of the Rocky Mountains.
She gained many friends over the years like Ken A, Richard, Wayne, Jeff, Marc, Murrey to name just a few .. the rest , you are not forgotten and I thank you for being a part of her life and adventures.
The tears are many right now , and both Smudge and Tonto feel the loss of their older sister.
We had a good run, many adventures and many nights in tents when it took us 2.5 yrs to find a home and livelihood together.. so many vehicles I cant count, but she learnt to open every electric window and a few times how to lock us out of a vehicle when convenient to her.
She is now with Noah, the father of her children. She outlived 6 of her pups and 2 of her grand pups.
She blessed my life beyond comprehension
