The Kluxen Woods Murder - 1921

In 1921, 12 year old Janette Lawrence left her babysitting job in Madison, NJ and headed for home. The houses were in the same neighborhood, less than 200 yards apart, but she never made it. When her remains were discovered the following day, it revealed a gruesome scene; one that outraged the community who demanded answers. However, after the primary suspect was dismissed for unclear reasons, the police found themselves grasping for straws.
