Zaouli is a vibrant traditional dance of the Guro people from central Ivory Coast, who speak the Guro language. The dance features the iconic Zaouli mask, which was created in the 1950s and is said to have been inspired by a young girl named Djela Lou Zaouli, meaning "Zaouli, daughter of Djela."
